EXPERIENCE THE AUGUST 21st HISTORIC SOLAR ECLIPSE WHILE “GLAMPING” IN JACKSON HOLE, WYOMING!

Want to witness the total solar eclipse this summer in the world's most-scenic location? You're in luck! A new indoor camping site, Snow King Basecamp, has opened up at the base of the Grand Tetons in Jackson Hole, Wyoming -- one of the best-viewing areas in the country. Campsites are available August 17th-21st and are booking fast, so reserve yours now!

With this opportunity, eclipse-lovers get the best of both worlds: the ability to watch the solar eclipse in one of the most beautiful locations in North America and the experience of "roughing-it" (except visitors will be indoors at the base of Snow King mountain next to a five-star restaurant, one of Jackson Hole's best bars, wi-fi, power charging stations, indoor bathrooms, showers, and 24-hour security).

Kick off the Total Solar Eclipse weekend by attending the Jackson Hole Live concert on Friday August 18th right out our doorsteps!

Make sure to join Wyoming Stargazing at the summit of Snow King Mountain for one or two fabulous pre-eclipse fundraising parties on Saturday and Sunday evening before the eclipse. First, you'll get a chairlift ride to the summit. Once on top of the mountain, you can mingle with retired NASA Astronaut Scott Altman and enjoy drinks and hors d'oeuvres under the tent. On Saturday, author and astrobiologist David Grinspoon will deliver an alluring presentation on astronomy, life in the universe, and the eclipse. On Sunday, supernovae expert, Prof. Douglas Leonard will offer a mind-bending presentation on exploding stars, black holes, and the fate of the universe. After the presentations on both nights, weather permitting, join the Stargazing Leaders and 10 telescopes outside the tent for the valley's best views of Jupiter, Saturn, star clusters, nebulae, and far off galaxies. They'll also be dedicating the outdoor inflatable planetarium, The Dark Sky Pavilion, with special showings of the American Museum of Natural History's film Dark Universe, which is narrated by Neil deGrass Tyson. Don't leave before you get a signed photo from Astronaut Scott!

Experience the eclipse at the base of Snow King Mountain! On Monday August 21st, everyone is invited to find a spot, lay out a blanket, enjoy local music, and buy food and drinks from local food vendors.

Where will you be on Monday August 21, 2017? Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime event!

Please note that your reservation is for accommodations at our campsite only. Though you will be in the epicenter of the festivities, activities may require additional purchase from vendors/sponsors.
